Elizabeth Kittrell, MA, LMFT

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, with a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and over 30 years of experience counseling individuals, couples and families, I have come to believe that the most important factor in an effective therapy session, where positive change and healing can occur, is when a positive connection is made between the therapist and the client.

Therefore, I am wholeheartedly committed to creating a safe space of non-judgmentment and compassionate acceptance with each person I work with. Along with creating a safe therapeutic environment with my clients, I work from a holistic point of view, seeing how all of life and the choices we make are interconnected.

Thus, I strive to support my clients in healing and creating the life they desire from the perspective of wholeness through addressing their core issues in mind, body and spirit.

In addition to providing client-centered talk therapy, I am also certified as a hypnotherapist and Level II EMDR therapist to support my clients to do deeper therapeutic work as needed. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, adjustment issues, and relationship issues. I work with adults and teens in individual, couples and family sessions.

My Work History

I started my private practice counseling teens, adults, couples and families in 2001 in Fort Collins, Colorado. Before establishing my own business, I worked counseling children and their families in schools, a group home, and a foster care agency. I also worked at two different community mental health centers (one in California and one in Colorado) with a diverse population and a wide variety of issues doing play therapy with young children and counseling teens, adults, couples and families.
